Chatsworth, CA ––
Source Photonics Inc. , a leading provider of optical communication products used in telecommunication systems and data communication networks, today announces availability of its XG-PON OLT transceiver product family.
XG-PON technology provides a powerful point-to-multipoint solution to meet ever-increasing bandwidth demand while facilitating a low maintenance cost in the access network of the communication infrastructure.
Source Photonics today announces availability of complete end-to-end solutions for XG-PON deployments operating in Class N2 standard application.
The new XG-PON OLT transceiver in XFP form factor introduced today by
Source Photonics is the latest addition to the company's expanding XG-PON transceiver portfolio. Relying on
Source Photonics’ established integration technology, XG-PON OLT includes downstream transmitters operating at 9.95Gb/s, as well as upstream receivers operating at 2.48Gb/s, which can provide an extended reach system transition in the PON network. The XG-PON OLT is fully compliant with the ITU-G.987 standard for Class N2 interfaces and covers N1 class application as well. The product is compatible with network overlay on existing Class B+ GPON networks, providing carriers a cost-effective upgrade path for existing 2.5Gb/s and 1Gb/s access networks.
Source Photonics’ complete XG-PON product family now includes the full end-to-end solution for N2-class application, with the XG-PON N2 class OLT in XFP form-factor, and temperature-hardened N2-class ONU diplexer in SFP+ package.
Source will showcase this product at the European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication (ECOC) 2011 from September 19 – 21, 2011. Visit us at booth number 1632.
